The Black Panther Jordan 1 High was an idea that came to fruition from the client's love of the movie "Black Panther." The idea was to create something simple yet creative and complicated in design.
THE IDEA
The idea was simple, with significant statements. We wanted to go with a black base and purple accents. We also wanted to include glow-in-the-dark elements that resembled when Black Panther's suit powered up. We also went with a 3m reflective swoosh, tongue tag, and tribal art ghost graphics.
THE PACKAGE
The packaging to be used was a custom briefcase. We included the "Black Panther" image in a silver matte and ghost graphic tribal art.
THE REVEAL
When opened, the case includes led lights and remote, a black light flashlight for the glow in the dark purple on the shoe, and magnetic mounting for the accessories. The Upper and lower areas of the briefcase finished with suede completed the packaging.
THE FINALE
The finished product includes a matte finish on the upper, a factory finish on the purple accents, with a purple-dyed sole. It also has black waxed laces and a pair of purple laces as an add-on. The swoosh and tongue tag are both reflective, and all purple accents outside of the sole are glow in the dark.
